There are currently two annual recurring events and various occasional events:
In early May at Duns Play Fest our New drama based on a Wilson's tale is premiered.
On 2nd October , the anniversary of Wilson's death, a celebratory dinner themed on “Beans and bacon” as adapted and interpreted by the chef and featuring Wilson's more humorous Poetry and Tales. We also invite a young local performer to come and take “The Vacant chair” and help us with our evening entertainment.

26th March 2026 Whisky with Wilson at Ad Gefrin
Ad Gefrin, the Wooler based Whisky distillery will be hosting an evening supper in their private dining room featuring fine food and Wilson's tales. Include will be “The mistake” where an overheard conversation with a goat causes the wrong end of the stick to be picked up by a young ladies admirers and “The Domestic Griefs of Gustavus McIver”, where his efforts to reform his alcoholic wife go from bad to worse.
27th March 2026 Launch of our “Walk with Wilson” trail
This will include an exhibition and workshops at Berwick library by illustrator Ali Edwards who has developed this project (below)
28th March to 25th April 2026 Art Exhibition of Illustrating Tales
5th May 2026 Duns Play Fest new drama premiere
Featuring John Nichols adaptation of “The Hen Pecked Man” and “The False Alarm!” into one new play entitled “The Wars Of Patie Crichton”.

23rd July 2026 Wine with Wilson at Coxon & Coxon
Andrew Ayre project director will bring Wilson to life and tell some local humorous tales including “The monks of Dryburgh”, “The adventures of Lancelot Errington and his nephew Mark: a tale of Lindisfarne” as well as “Kate Kennedy” a border Romeo and Juliet involving an imposter wine merchant.
