The original tale was published on 18th April 1835 and written by J M Wilson. The revival edition was originally published as part of the Wilson’s Tales Project Volume 7 in 2020. It is re-imagined into a modern setting. It is rewritten into a more readable format for a modern audience and published with a companion piece on its historic context and the characters involved in this essentially true tale.
